Enterprise Class Group and project management features are now available with a single click to the Dashboard.
Download MockupTiger Wireframes. It is the best time saving application you will download for prototyping
Mockuptiger allows you to create any number of groups. Each member of your team can create their own groups. Groups is like the “Circles” feature in Google plus.
Groups can represent full company, it can represent individual small teams, it can represent individual clients of a web design agency or a small department of a big company
. It is a simple and very powerful concept. This power is available when you use Mockuptiger to build your wireframes and prototypes.

Groups is a very powerful and simple concept. If you are a web agency then every client and members working for them is part of a small group.

Enterprise Wireframe and Prototyping tool – new release
Did you ever imagine that you can simply punch some data
and create beautiful dashboards?
Dashboards that are static in nature?
So what is a static Dashboard?
A dashboard where you build the charts first and then punch data inside the charts. Later when you have new updates, you come back and edit the data directly. You can use these kind of simple dashboards without any technical knowledge.
They are so easy to use, just drag the charts from the library and then update the data.
One such mechanism of creating static dashboard is discussed here using Mockuptiger.

Tiger can do both wireframes and mockups (tigger, tiggr, tigr)

Mockups with wireframe software are better with editable groups
Mockups become increasingly efficient when you have the ability to group objects and it becomes super powerful when you can edit the groups without ungrouping the objects
MockupTiger now has the ability to Edit groups Editable Mockup Groups/Symbols
When you group objects, the position is maintained with the child objects. You can stretch and drag the group objects. The child objects will enlarge or shrink based on the action you perform on the group. How do you edit the text of individual child Once you define the group, it becomes cumbersome to ungroup just for changing the text. For e.g If we want to change the text on the comment bubble, we simple double click on the bubble comment The UI will detect the mouse click and transfer the edit operation to the respective child.

HTML5 Font rendering is tricky. It is not consistent across browsers.
Read how MockupTiger fixed the font rendering issue. You will also notice that with the fix, it is now possible to add any of your favourite font for wireframes. Why just limit to Comic Sans or Arial. Try the Google web fonts for instance.

Many people who are familiar with BI applications will be of the opinion that these programs are suitable for business analysis only. They will maintain that dashboard are effective only as sales analysis tools, or to examine profits, expenditure and trading trends. However the facilities provided by Excel Dashboard and other BI applications can be applied to a wide variety of systems, so long as there is data to be inserted and analysis to be performed.
Excel Dashboard is particularly useful as an administrative analysis tool. Managers and supervisors can utilise well constructed dashboards to help keep track of projects and activities, and to supervise team members. Many project based dashboards allow users to view lists of ongoing and completed projects, each of which has been afforded its own dashboard. These dashboard then provide information on the aims of the project, its level of progress and the team members involved. Other information can also include funding and deadline information.
Clearly this sort of application is invaluable to managers in large organisations and businesses. Dashboards have also been created to assist executives of this kind further, by allowing them to combine their scheduling information with their project management dashboards. This ensures that they are always aware of how much time they are devoting to each project, when their next meeting in relation to these projects will take place, and will of course ensure that they can keep track of their meetings and their schedule.

If you wish to layout a dashboard of any kind correctly you will need to understand a few basic design principles. Of course there are a number of fundamental business intelligence principles which must be applied to any dashboard, but have an effective design and having an informative dashboard can often be too very /different things entirely.
For example, a dashboard can be highly detailed and contain a wealth of information and analysis. However, if this dashboard is badly laid out, its overall effectiveness will decrease dramatically, as users will not be able to use it to its full potential. An extremely badly laid out dashboard could be completely useless to the average user, who will find the dashboard unappealing, confusing and probably even irrelevant.
Now that we have seen the possible outcome of/ designing a poorly laid out dashboard, it is time to consider the correct way in which to design a dashboard. Of course the obvious rules which have been discussed in previous posts still apply, such as having correct spacings and appropriate charts. Another fact to bear in mind also however is that studies have shown how the average person regards a page, and which elements of any page receive the longest exposure time during a single viewing. It has been found that the upper right hand corner of any page receives the most attention, and this can therefore be seen as the most important part of the dashboard. Therefore good dashboard designers should try to put explanatory notes and other core information about the dashboard in this area.

Now that we have ooked at the possible problems that can arise from

A dynamic chart is one that changes according to various filtering options. Most dashboards consist of a number of dynamic charts, which add depth to the range of data without over-cluttering the display. While many people might think that it is fairly complicated or difficult to set up a chart of this type in Excel, there are actually numerous simple approaches that can create effective and interesting displays.
One of the simpler methods is to make use of check-boxes. These can be set up so that selecting a particular check-box shows a particular data set, while selecting additional boxes will simultaneously display other data sets on the same chart as well. In order to set up a chart of this type you will need more than one data groupings, all related by a common variable. From there you will need to arrange them on a table, with corresponding data points. That is to say if you table has a Time column, for each time data point you will need a corresponding data point for each of your remaining variables.
If you have two data series to plot, you will need to set up two check-boxes. This is done by accessing the Developer tab, and then choosing check-boxes from the Insert tab. You must then set up your checkboxes so that they will display the correct information when required. Attach one check-box to a cell belonging to one of your data sets. For example if the cell is B25, type $B$25 into the ‘cell link’ box. Then you must create a new table that is set up to use the IF condition, using your original data but incorporating IF formulas. From there it is a simple matter to make a chart using this data.
